AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/01 Report--

On October 30, a person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transportation revealed that Beijing will replace expired taxis with pure electric vehicles, with new ceiling lights and door decoration designed for the body. So far, more than 1000 pure electric vehicles have been put into operation on the road. By the end of next year, nearly 20,000 taxis in Beijing will be replaced by pure electric taxis.

According to a person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Communications, the state has also issued a policy requiring new or updated taxis to be replaced by new energy electric models, and many cities have begun to apply new energy taxis.

The Zhengzhou Transportation Bureau issued a notice showing that starting from October 1, 2019, new online car-hailing and updated parade taxis in Zhengzhou will stop using other types of vehicles such as fuel and gas, and must use new energy pure electric vehicles announced on the official website of the industry.

In addition to Beijing and Zhengzhou, such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Dalian, Shenyang and other places have also introduced relevant measures, requiring the director of the network appointment office not to use traditional fuel vehicles, but to replace them all with new energy vehicles.

With the accelerated withdrawal of traditional fuel vehicles, new energy vehicles seem to have become an industry trend.

In May this year, China's total oil consumption control and policy research project released a report entitled "study on the withdrawal schedule of China's traditional fuel vehicles", which pointed out that China is expected to achieve a full withdrawal of traditional fuel vehicles by 2050. The report believes that public vehicles, special-purpose vehicles and other fields should achieve the full withdrawal of fuel vehicles as soon as possible.

Although the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has expressed support for the issue of a total ban on combustion, it has made it clear that China will support the establishment of pilot no-traffic zones for fuel vehicles in places with conditions, and on the basis of success, draw up a timetable for banning the sale of fuel vehicles.

But since the beginning of this year, under the environment of the decline of new energy vehicles and the downturn of the car market, sales of new energy vehicles have declined. According to the new energy vehicle sales data released by the China Automobile Association in September 2019, new energy vehicle sales in September this year were 80000, down 34.2% from a year earlier. From January to September, sales of new energy vehicles totaled 872000, an increase of 20.8 percent over the same period last year, a marked drop from the same period last year.

At present, both Chinese and foreign car companies are committed to the development of new energy vehicles.

As a leading enterprise of new energy vehicles, BYD Wang Chuanfu also clearly proposed that China should formulate a timetable for the overall electrification of cars as soon as possible.

At a time when traditional cars are facing a huge downward trend, we should further restrict traditional fuel vehicles, gradually achieve a total ban on sales, and firmly support the full electrification of new energy vehicles, Wang Chuanfu said. Wang Chuanfu suggested that the field of private cars should be electrified by 2030.

As the development of new energy vehicles is much better than traditional fuel vehicles, it has also given rise to a lot of new car-building forces, including new energy car companies such as Lai, Xiaopeng, Weima and Hezhong. By contrast, these new energy vehicles are much more advanced than fuel vehicles in appearance and configuration, so they are also favored by many consumers.

Of course, there are also many consumers who are not optimistic about the development of pure electric vehicles. After all, traditional fuel vehicles have been developed for a long time, and some car companies committed to the development of new energy vehicles are also regarded as the method of "corner overtaking". And in view of the current development of new energy vehicles, most of the new energy vehicles produced by car companies only meet the double points standard, so they will be selectively ignored in quality and configuration.

At present, the development of new energy vehicles is not mature. In the past year, the news of new energy vehicles catching fire and spontaneous combustion can be found everywhere, causing consumers to worry about its quality. In addition, the battery life of electric vehicles is also one of the criteria for consumers to buy cars, but at present, many electric cars can only meet short trips, and the claimed range of electric vehicles is also questioned to some extent.
