AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/04 Report--
On November 4, Chery released its latest sales figures: in October, Chery sold a total of 70300 vehicles, up 5.2% from a year earlier and 2.9% from a month earlier; from January to October this year, Chery Group sold a total of 577000 vehicles.
The reason for Chery's growth against the trend is mainly due to the excellent performance of Ruihu and Arize, which have sold more than 10,000 models for many months in a row.
Specifically, the sales of Ruihu 8, which went on sale in May, increased steadily, with sales from May to September of 8089, 8730, 9241, 10198 and 11890 respectively, plus 13152 new cars sold in October this year, an increase of 10.6% from the previous month. Ruihu 8 has exceeded 10,000 for three consecutive months, and its cumulative sales have reached 61300 since its listing in May.
The reason why Ruihu 8 can stand out in the competition has a lot to do with its product power. Ruihu 8 uses Chery's new "Life in Motion" family design language, coupled with the power combination of 1.6T+7DCT, compared with the same price of CS75, Boyue and other models have a great competitive advantage.
In addition to Ruihu 8, sales exceeded 10,000 in the same month. Arize sold 11198 vehicles in October, an increase of 8.8% over the previous month; in September, it sold 10289 vehicles, plus October has sold more than 10,000 for two months in a row.
In June this year, Erize 5 Pro/ Erize GX Pro was officially launched. Both models meet the national six emission standards, and the configuration has also been adjusted, especially in terms of intelligent network connection, which provides great convenience to car owners. In September, the champion version of Arize GX was officially launched, with 1.5L power and optimization in appearance.
It is worth noting that Chery's Jettcut series also performed very well. Since the launch of the first X70 in August last year, Jetta has launched a number of new products such as the X70S, X90, a new generation of X70, X70S EV and X90 1.6TGDI within a year, providing a continuous driving force for its sales growth.
A total of 14008 vehicles were sold by Jetta in October, an increase of 54.32% over the same period last year. From January to October this year, the Jetway brand sold about 100000 vehicles.
In terms of specific models, the Jetway X70 sold 12003 vehicles in October. In August this year, the X70 upgraded its appearance, interior and configuration, and launched a new generation of X70. Its performance has improved a lot compared with the previous one, and it is not surprising that the sales volume has exceeded 10,000 in a row.
In addition, with the blessing of the third-generation 1.6T power of Chery, the Jetway X90 achieved a success of 2005 vehicles in October. Although there is a big gap compared with the X70, the sales volume is also gradually increasing.
It is understood that Chery Group's annual sales target in 2018 is 900000 vehicles, but Chery Group sold only 750000 vehicles that year, with a completion rate of 83%. At the beginning of this year, Chery did not announce its annual sales target, and there are still two months to go before the end of 2019. To reach last year's sales level, Chery must sell more than 80,000 vehicles a month. Although the sales of many of its models are growing month by month, this goal is also challenging in the current downturn in the car market. However, in any case, Chery is still developing well, and its growth is also a bright spot compared with the current declining sales of car companies.
