Honda, which has been rumored for many years, introduced the domestic Civic hatchback version to spread new news. Recently, a suspected hatchback version of the Honda Civic spy video circulated online, as a compact car owned by Honda, is the pillar model of Dongfeng Honda, with monthly sales of more than 20,000 units. According to previous reports, the new Civic hatchback version will be introduced by GAC Honda.

From the video, although the spy photos of the new car are covered with thick camouflage stickers, we can see from the details that the car as a whole basically follows the overseas design and is equipped with LED headlamp groups, the engine cover has two raised lines, and the honeycomb air intake grille under the front is the most obvious difference from the hatchback version.

The shape of the fog light group on both sides of the bumper of the new car is expected to be the same as the overseas version, which is larger and more aggressive than the hatchback version. Civic hatchback version of the body side lines are consistent with the overseas version, the tail, its overall is covered with more stringent camouflage stickers, can not see more details, but can be found to be the use of central exhaust port.

The new car interior also follows the overseas version of the design style, the all-black interior with chrome plating and similar solid wood elements embellishment, looks a bit out of keeping with the sports style. At present, the authorities have not released its specific information, referring to the powertrain of the domestic Civic hatchback version, which is equipped with 1.0T in-line three-cylinder (180TURBO) and 1.5T in-line four-cylinder (220TURBO) engines with maximum power of 125hp and 177hp, respectively, and the transmission system matches a six-speed manual or CVT continuously variable transmission.

At present, the new car is only inferred to be produced by GAC Honda, but details still need to be given by the authorities. However, whether the Honda Civic is a hatchback version or a hatchback version, the market voice is very high, and there will be more choices for target consumers. If realized domestically, it will continue to bring better sales performance for Honda.

According to Honda's latest October sales, Honda's terminal sales in China in October 2019 were 147716, up 6.5 per cent from a year earlier.
