Data show that Cadillac sold 14,000 vehicles in October, and cumulative sales of 1-10 were 178,048 vehicles, down 4% year-on-year. Lexus sold more than 16,000 vehicles in October this year.

Last month, Cadillac achieved its first million vehicles in 16 years after entering China, and sales fell again this month. Although the luxury market generally rose against the trend this year, Cadillac's performance was unstable, in sharp contrast to Lexus. It also shows that even in the dominant luxury market, Cadillac is facing competition pressure, even more than other brands.

Since July 1 this year, most regions of the country began to implement the national six emission standards, Cadillac's ATS-L and XTS are the national five emission standards, with the passage of time ATS-L and XTS two main car sales continue to shrink. In October, ATS-L models have stopped selling to dealers, and XTS models have also been sold significantly less than the same period last year.

Originally said to have been officially unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show in September, the domestic CT5 will be on sale on October 20, with an official pre-sale of 280,000 - 340,000 yuan. But let everyone disappointed, because Cadillac this conference is more like a "concert", and did not launch a new CT5, but released a new car CT4, and said that the new car will be launched next year. This also makes Cadillac's sales camp in the sedan appear somewhat weak.

Relying solely on its CT6 sedan model, 2664 vehicles were sold in October, up 284.4% year-on-year, and 17092 vehicles were sold from January to October, up 31.3% year-on-year.

SUV performance is relatively stable, its best-selling SUV model XT5, October sales of 5,669 vehicles, month-on-month growth of 49.4% year-on-year decline of 5.3%; January to October cumulative sales of 44,623 vehicles, year-on-year decline of 27.8%. The monthly sales volume of XT4 model was 3,991 units, up 6.9% month-on-month and down 10.8% year-on-year, with cumulative sales of 39,902 units this year. In addition, the XT6 model launched in July has accumulated sales of 8,193 units.

It can be said that the lack of Cadillac's two main sedan products affected Cadillac's overall market performance, Cadillac also announced that the new CT5 will be officially launched and delivered this month, but it remains to be seen whether Cadillac, which has always been known for its "discount", can recover through CT5, but with the arrival of CT5 and CT4, Cadillac camp is gradually enriched, I believe at least better than the status quo.
