In the downward environment of the domestic car market, Great Wall Motor, as a domestic independent brand, bucked the trend in October.

On November 7, Great Wall released its latest sales figures, which showed that Great Wall Motor sold a total of 115015 new cars in October, up 4.48% from January to October. From January to October, Great Wall Motor sold a total of 839128 new cars, up 6.66% from a year earlier.

In terms of brands, Harvard SUV sold 86433 vehicles in October, up 1.74% from a year earlier. The cumulative sales from January to October were 607685, an increase of 10.07% over the same period last year.

Harvard H6 is not only the main sales model of Harvard brand, but also the main sales model of Great Wall. In October, Harvard H6 sold a total of 40623 new cars, down 1.24% from a year earlier. From January to October, Harvard H6 sold a total of 303023 new cars, down 12.93% from a year earlier. In addition, more than 10,000 cars were sold in October, including the Harvard M6 and the Harvard H7.

The WEY brand sold 10364 vehicles in October, down 4.78% from a year earlier. The cumulative sales from January to October were 80199, down 31.09% from a year earlier. Although sales of the WEY brand are down 30% from last year, sales of VV5, VV6 and VV7 models are all up from last month.

Electric car brand Euler sold 1774 vehicles in October, up 149.86 per cent from a year earlier. The cumulative sales from January to October were 33960, up 2,296.61 per cent from a year earlier.

It is worth noting that the Great Wall pickup truck performance is equally eye-catching. October sales were 16444, with a cumulative sales of 117284 from January to October. In particular, the Great Wall gunner truck, which just went on sale, sold 5020 in October.

According to the third-quarter results released by Great Wall Motor, the operating income of Great Wall Motor in the third quarter of this year was 21.202 billion yuan, an increase of 18.01% over the same period last year. The net profit of shareholders belonging to the listed parent company was 1.4 billion yuan, an increase of 507% over the same period last year. In the first three quarters, Great Wall Motor achieved a cumulative operating income of 62.578 billion yuan and a net profit of 2.917 billion yuan for shareholders of listed companies.

In the current grim environment of the car market, there are still not many car companies with simultaneous year-on-year growth in sales and profits like Great Wall Motor. Great Wall said that the year-on-year and month-on-month increase in net profit attributed to its shareholders in the third quarter was mainly due to factors such as the company's sales growth and further strengthening of cost control capabilities.

With the arrival of "Golden Nine and Silver Ten", the sales of some car companies have improved. Although "price for volume" is one of the important ways for Great Wall to achieve sales growth, good sales also reflect that its products do have certain advantages. With the advance of the "New four modernizations" of Great Wall Motor, it continues to increase its market share and global influence.
