October SUV sales ranking: Harvard H6 topped the list, while Tanyue sales soared

According to the latest data from the Federation of passengers, sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market in October were 1.843 million, down 5.7% from the same period last year to 16.626 million from January to October, down 8.3% from a year earlier.

In terms of the SUV market segment, SUV sales in October were 853000, down 0.7 per cent from a year earlier, up 5.5 per cent from a month earlier, with cumulative sales of 7.305 million vehicles from January to October, down 5.2 per cent from a year earlier. According to the data, although the cumulative sales of SUV in the first 10 months showed a downward trend, the sales of that month were basically the same as those of the same period last year, and signs of recovery appeared.

According to the new energy vehicle sales data released by the passenger Association, the top three SUV models in October were Harvard H6, Changan CS75 and Tanyue.

According to the list, Harvard H6 sold 40011 vehicles in October, down 0.6 per cent from a year earlier; Changan CS75 sold 25063 vehicles in October, up 67.4 per cent from a year earlier; and Tanyue sold 21800 vehicles in October, up 1853.4 per cent from a year earlier.

In addition, Honda CR-V, Xiaoke, BYD Song, Harvard M7 and colorful Zhi also performed well, with sales up from last month.

By contrast, Tuguan, Roewe RX5, Honda XR-V and Baojun 510 performed poorly. Tuguan sold 19941 vehicles in October, down 23.8% from the same period last year; Roewe RX5 sales in October were 19139, down 21.8% from the same period last year; Honda XR-V sales in October were 16855, down 7.5% from a year earlier; and Baojun 510 sales in October were 16486, down 41.5% from the same period last year

From January to October, the best-selling SUV model was the Harvard H6, followed by Tuguan and Qijun. Among them, the top five models are Harvard H6, Tuguan, Qijun, Honda XR-V and Baojun 510. Among them, the largest increase was Honda's cumulative XR-V,1-October sales of 170331 vehicles, up 95.7% from a year earlier; the smallest increase was Baojun 510Jing's cumulative sales of 158371 vehicles from January to October, down 43.0% from a year earlier.

Xiaoke, Boyue, Changan CS75, Tanyue and Roewe RX5 respectively ranked 6th to 10th on the list. Among them, the Tanyue model is the fastest growing model, with cumulative sales of 119766 vehicles from January to October, an increase of 10631.7% over the same period last year. On the other hand, Boyue and Roewe RX5 showed a decline in subsidy, down 32.2% and 37.1% respectively compared with the same period last year.

Judging from the October sales data, the performance of Japanese cars in October is average, with only 4 seats in the top 10 and 5 seats in the top 15, while the performance of independent brands is slightly better, such as Harvard H6, Changan CS75, Geely Boyue and Roewe RX5, etc., the strength of independent brands is constantly strengthening, and the advantages of joint venture brands are gradually being broken.
