In addition, DPCA plans to reshuffle the senior management of Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen. Among them, Li Guangtao, general manager of the brand department of Dongfeng Peugeot, will be transferred, and Green, the former deputy general manager of the brand department of Dongfeng Peugeot, will take over the post of general manager of the brand department. In terms of Dongfeng Citroen, Xiao Yifei, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Citroen, was transferred back to PSA, while Ren Guang, general manager of Dongfeng Citroen, remained unchanged.

DPCA said that the company's reform has been in progress, the organizational structure and personnel arrangements are still in work, and need to be submitted to the company's board of directors for approval.

It is understood that DPCA is a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor and Peugeot Citroen Group, with two brands: Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen.

However, DPCA has begun to decline since it generated annual sales of 730000 vehicles in 2014. DPCA sales fell 15.2% year on year in 2016, 37% in 2017, 31.88% in 2018, and 100779 units from January to October this year, down 54.83% from the same period last year.

In the face of the continued decline in sales, Dragon Motor also made a response. To save money, DPCA closed a factory in Wuhan and sold its second plant in Wuhan, leaving three plants in Wuhan and Chengdu to continue production operations and start layoffs, from 8000 to 5500 by 2019 and to 4000 by 2020.

In September this year, DPCA issued a "yuan" revival plan. Through the efforts of Peiyuan, Guyuan and Tuoyuan, the overall sales reached 400000 vehicles.

In order to promote the loop of Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen brands, in early October, DPCA officially opened its first dual-brand 4S store in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. The store can sell Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen models at the same time, but the two brand showrooms have their own entrances and exits to remain relatively independent. DPCA said that this is to show the different positioning and culture of the two brands.

Although it suffered a "big rout" in China, DPCA stressed that it would not withdraw from China. At present, DPCA has made a series of adjustments, which will be known by the end of this year.

On the other hand, FCA, one of the joint ventures of Dragon Motors, recently completed an alliance with PSA, but the two companies also have a lot of problems in the Chinese market, sales and performance are not good. It is almost impossible for DPCA to rely on its parent company to ease its domestic pressure. After all, FCA is not in a good position in the Chinese market.
