Volkswagen Group's global sales have been falling, and new car deliveries in the Chinese market are still falling. A few days ago, Volkswagen Group released global sales figures for February, when Volkswagen delivered a total of 724400 vehicles in the global market, down 1.8 per cent from a year earlier. Regionally, sales grew in Europe and South America, while there were declines in North America and Asia, with the biggest decline in China.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Volkswagen delivered 257100 cars in February, down 7.3 per cent from a year earlier. China, Volkswagen's largest single market, recorded sales of 234400 vehicles in the month, down 7.4 per cent from February 2018, the steepest decline in any region.

Among them, Volkswagen brand sales in China fell 8.8% in February from a year earlier to 172500 vehicles.

In view of the strategic layout of the Chinese market, Volkswagen has released the "Jetta Brand", which focuses on low prices, adopts a new car logo instead of the Volkswagen logo, and is initially available only for China. The first three new models of the Jetta brand will be unveiled in China on March 22, including two SUV (VS5, VS7) and one car (VA3).
