Decides to recall a total of 12637 imported Elfa vehicles manufactured between 11 December 2017 and 29 March 2019 with effect from 29 December 2019.

Some vehicles within the scope of this recall are due to imperfect charging control procedures in the engine control computer, such as frequent idle parking for a long time, which may cause abnormal deterioration of the battery. When the vehicle turns on the idle start-stop mode, the engine may not be able to start again after flameout, and the rear-end collision may occur, which may lead to safety risks.

Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will modify the charging control program of the engine control computer and check the vehicle's battery for the recalled vehicles, and replace the new battery free of charge if the battery is abnormal, in order to eliminate safety risks.
