According to reports, since January, Sinotruk has launched an open competition for the recruitment of all middle-level cadres. The first batch of 25 positions in charge of second-level units were openly competitive, and 92 people signed up. After three rounds of screening, 78 people took part in the written examination, 64 people participated in the first round of interviews, 45 people participated in the second round of interviews, and 24 department heads were selected. Together with the 30 departments and 11 unadjusted departments that have been inspected, competed, recommended and appointed in the previous period, as of February 10, all the 65 secondary departments of Sinotruk, except the technology center, are in place.

Through personnel reform, the number of cadres in the Sinotruk Group has been significantly reduced. The original number of middle-level cadres was 329, but the current number is 234, down 29.5% from the same period last year. According to Tan Xuguang, this open competition and adjustment involves 279 people, with a large scale and a high degree of transparency, which is the first time in the history of Sinotruk. Prior to this round of competitive recruitment, there was also an open competition for the recruitment of financial directors of second-tier units and leading cadres at or above the deputy level of some departments, and another 116 cadres retired from leading posts.

Tan Xuguang also said boldly: "this year, we are determined to reduce costs. According to the initial budget of 5 billion yuan, even if we cannot finish 4 billion yuan by 5 billion yuan, we will spend 2 billion yuan to raise the wages of our employees."
