According to domestic media reports, Mercedes-Benz officially launched the 2020 Mercedes-Benz G500 at the Guangzhou Auto Show, raising the price to 1.6288 million yuan. Compared with the cash model, the new car has only made a small improvement in configuration.

In terms of appearance, Mercedes-Benz's new G-Class 500 front face is equipped with a straight waterfall intake grille, with large-size brand LOGO in the center, geometric multi-beam LED headlamp groups on both sides, and integrated circular daytime driving lights inside. The side lines of the car body are straight, the lower part of the car adopts multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, and the exhaust is a bilateral four-out layout. The rear of the car is equipped with external spare tire, and the "back" shape LED taillight group is replaced at the bottom.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz G500 has not been adjusted in terms of interior decoration, as well as the classic design style and configuration, compared with the 2019 models, the new car will add remote startup, in-car air negative ion generator and intelligent parking system with 360 °camera. Other configurations remain the same. The body size of the new car is larger than that of the old model, with a length, width and height of 4817 × 1969 × 2187mm and a wheelbase of 2890mm.

In the power system part, the new car continues to carry 4.0L V8 twin-turbocharged engine, maximum power 310kW (421Ps), peak torque 610Nm. The transmission part matches the 9-speed automatic transmission.

The model on the market is the annual modified model, so there is no change in the overall design, and it is still the classic box shape that we are familiar with. However, the configuration of the new car has been slightly upgraded, the competitiveness has been improved to a certain extent, and of course the price has also increased slightly.
