The F8 Spider is the successor of the 488 Spider. The exterior design of the F8 Tributo convertible version inherits the design style of the F8 Tributo. The aerodynamics kit introduces the S-Duct aerodynamic channel, redesigns the rear spoiler, and uses the classic double round lamp design again.

The rear windshield shutter at the rear of the car is designed to pay homage to the classic Ferrari F40. In addition, the Ferrari F8 Spider continues the classic round headlamp design and is equipped with a large tail diffuser.

The Ferrari F8 Spider is also equipped with a wealth of vehicle dynamic control systems, including a smaller steering wheel, and the introduction of a new and upgraded Ferrari dynamic Enhancement system (FDE+) and a new generation of side slip angle control system (SSC 6.1). The interior layout of F8 Spider is basically the same as that of F8 Tributo, and many new design elements have been added. It includes a circular air-conditioned outlet, a brand new steering wheel and a 7-inch touch screen in front of the copilot. in addition, the new car adds a lot of red material to the center console and seats.

In the power system part, the Ferrari F8 Spider is equipped with a 3.9L V8 twin-turbocharged engine with maximum output power 530kW (720Ps) and peak torque 770Nm. In addition, the engine follows the efficient weight loss program of the Ferrari 488 Pista, which has a 18kg weight loss in its power unit compared with the 488 Spider. The transmission system matches the 7-speed F1 double clutch gearbox, and the official 0-100km/h acceleration time is 2.9s. The 0-200km/h acceleration time is 8.2s.

As a convertible version of the Ferrari F8 Tributo and an upgraded version of the 488 Spider, the Ferrari F8 Spider has made major changes. Although it is an open model, its more reasonable body design and excellent weight loss make it consistent with the 0-100km/h acceleration time of the hardtop model.

As for competitors, Lamborghini and McLaren did not adopt the idea of launching new models as aggressively as Ferrari, but from the positioning of the mid-sized V8 convertible sports car, Lamborghini Hurac á n Evo Spyder and McLaren 720s Spider will compete directly with Ferrari F8 Spider. All three are convertible models, but the Lamborghini Hurac á n Evo Spyder has a soft-top design, which is the biggest difference from the latter two.
