Everyone is all too familiar with Jetta, which is now sold independently as a brand by Volkswagen and goes down to the low end of the market. It has been reported that Jetta's third model, the VS7, will go on sale in February next year. Due to the price of the VS5 (8.48-112800), which is higher than the VS7, the starting price is expected to reach about 110000 yuan. The new car has been unveiled at this year's Guangzhou Auto Show.

The new car is nothing new in appearance, still using the family design of the current model, with hexagonal intake grille and a large number of diamond-shaped chrome-plated decoration inside, but the headlamps connected with the grille adopt the integrated design of far and near light with lens structure, which is more textured than VA3 and VS5.

Because the side is positioned as a medium-sized SUV, there is a difference between the C-pillar and the VS5, and an additional window is added. The length, width and height of the car body are 4624*1841*1644mm and the wheelbase is 2730mm. The rear design is basically similar to the VS5, except that more chrome-plated designs are added to the rear bumper to improve the texture of the vehicle, while a Y-shaped design is added to the rear lights.

The design layout of the VS7 interior is basically consistent with the VS5 model, the overall shape outline is very simple, the center console is tilted to the driver's side, and the air conditioning mode is also upgraded from knob type to touch type.

The VS7 will be equipped with a 1.4T engine with a maximum power 110kW (150Ps). The transmission part matches the 6-speed automatic transmission. The car is based on Volkswagen MQB-A2, the platform gave birth to Volkswagen Touguan (domestic 2018), Skoda Kodiak and other models.

Although the Jetta brand is less than three months old, its two models, a Volkswagen Jetta native model and the Jetta VS5 based on Seattle Ateca, have "authentic" German ancestry and have achieved sales of more than 10,000 for two consecutive months. It can be said that even without Volkswagen's car logo, there can be a lot of consumer recognition.

According to the latest sales figures, the final sales of the two Jetta models in October were 16626, up 50 per cent from 11080 last month.

It is undeniable that Jetta, as a new brand distributed by Volkswagen to the cheap market in China, except for the "old three pieces" from Volkswagen, its configuration really cannot be lower, and the basic cost savings are saved. The hard plastic inside the car, the configuration that can be owned is also rare, and this is indeed the root cause of Jetta's birth. As for the performance of the upcoming VS7, it can only be seen.
