At the just held Guangzhou International Auto Show, Volkswagen also brought this ID. CROZZ concept model, the new car, like ID.3, is based on Volkswagen's MEB electric vehicle modular platform. Because it is a concept car, we can not determine whether the actual mass production model is consistent in the future, but from the design of the concept model, unlike the traditional hatchback car, it should be between the hatchback car and the MPV.

There are still a lot of popular elements under the round shape, the front face uses the same design as ID3, and a slender horizontal line runs through the car to the LED headlights on both sides. The side is designed with a side sliding door and the tail is designed with a duck tail. It is reported that the length of the new car will be similar to that of the imported Tiguan, but based on the advantages of the MEB platform, the wheelbase of the new car will be longer than that of Tiguan.

It is expected that the new car will be equipped with a motor on the front and rear axles, with the maximum power of the front motor being 80kW and the maximum power of the rear motor being 150kW. In addition, the new car will share the power battery with ID.3, so the new car is expected to provide three capacity versions of battery pack: 45kWh, 58kWh and 77kWh. The WLTP mileage of the three battery capacity versions of ID.3 are 330km, 420km and 550km respectively.

The announcement of the price so early is also because Volkswagen hopes to open the pre-sale mode as soon as possible. For example, ID3 has already started selling and booking before the real car has been announced. Customers only need to pay a deposit of 1000 euros to register as the first batch of ID3 model users, and also support a full refund before the final decision.

It is not difficult to see that Volkswagen can't wait to make consumers become users of Volkswagen electric cars. after all, in Volkswagen's view, the future is the trend of electric vehicles, and as the world's leading car company should give priority to other car companies, at the same time, Volkswagen is also afraid of facing a strong competitor like Tesla. Although Volkswagen CEO Dis has said that it is not afraid of Tesla's offensive, but according to the current planning, Volkswagen attaches great importance to electrification transformation.

Volkswagen plans to increase its future investment in electrification to $66 billion (464.1 billion yuan), an increase of 36% over the previously announced budget, and electric vehicles will account for 10% of Volkswagen's u.s. sales by 2025.

By 2030, Volkswagen will launch 75 electric models, five more than previously planned, and Volkswagen will produce 26 million electric vehicles worldwide over the next decade.
