Mr. Zhang introduced that at first the vehicle ran more than 80 kilometers with full electric energy, but now it can only run 40 kilometers.
The guidance price of new car is 218,000 yuan, and more than 170,000 yuan will be landed after subsidy. Mr. Zhang came to the second-hand car market for inquiry, and the result he got surprised him very much. However, he has obviously felt that the battery life has decreased rapidly so far, so he plans to replace the power battery to restore the original range. Changing batteries is better than selling them directly, but car dealers are cautious about closing cars, leaving owners in a dilemma.
CCTV interviewed a number of second-hand car dealers, who were worried that the recovered cars would be "smashed in their hands". Some of them said that the turnover rate of new energy used cars itself will be much lower than that of fuel vehicles. If the car is taken back hastily, it is likely that it will not be sold for months or even half a year. During this period, the risk of vehicle discount is also high.
According to the statistics of China Automobile Circulation Association, the three-year maintenance rate of new energy vehicles is generally lower than 40%, and the low maintenance rate has become a major feature of new energy used vehicles. The report shows that after three years of use, Tesla Model X residual value can reach 63.9%, BMW two PHEV models and BYD Tang DM to about 48%, most of the rest are below 40% residual value. BMW i3 has only 33% of its value, while BYD Qin EV and e5 electric vehicles are less than 30%.
Due to the low hedging rate, the current new energy used car market falls into a strange circle of "sellers don't want to sell, car dealers don't want to accept, buyers dare not buy".
More serious is that the first batch of new energy vehicle battery scrapping peak is coming. According to industry insiders, the service life of general automobile power batteries is 5-8 years. Restricted by early technical factors, the first batch of new energy vehicle power batteries put into the market are basically at the critical point of elimination, and the peak period of "retirement" of new energy vehicle power batteries is coming soon. According to the data of the National Big Data Alliance for New Energy Vehicles, it is estimated that by 2020, the accumulated retired batteries in China will be about 25GWh, or about 200,000 tons.
There are inconvenient factors such as charging problem and mileage problem in the use of new energy vehicles. In the end, the owner wants to sell and encounters the problem of too high depreciation rate. A large number of waste batteries are retired in a centralized manner, and the market is faced with the problem of how to dispose of waste batteries. The recycling and comprehensive utilization of waste batteries will also be a difficult problem that must be solved when new energy vehicles mature.
