Earlier, Hyundai announced that it would appoint the global head of the new high-end brand Gaines, which would step up its rebranding in China, meaning that Gaines would return to the domestic market. As early as 2017, Hyundai introduced its brand to China, but sales were mediocre, followed by the withdrawal of Hyundai dealers and the hasty exit of the Gaines brand.

Now that it has returned to the domestic market, it will also bring more models back, including this first SUV model, as well as the GV70 series of SUV models, and the full range of cars such as G70, G80 and G90 are expected to be gradually covered in China.

Gaines, as a local car company in South Korea, does not set up a separate sales outlet, but it is very popular in the United States, with independent brands to sell. However, Gaines, which has failed in China, will still have no market for its return in the eyes of many netizens, and it will even be a red flag for the target luxury brand.
