In November, the overall auto market is still in a state of depression, but compared with October, the market has a trace of warmth, especially the SUV market presents a "stand alone" performance. According to the latest data released by the Passenger Association, sales of narrow passenger cars rose 5.1% month-on-month in November and fell 4.1% year-on-year, with SUV market showing double month-on-month growth, which is also the highest growth since June this year.

From the recent market segment performance, SUV market is indeed better than car and MPV market, which also means SUV field is more popular with consumers. Cars have always occupied the largest market share, but in November this year, the wholesale volume of cars was 962,000, while the wholesale volume of SUVs was 959,000, with a difference of 0.2% market share between the two, a gap of less than 3000 vehicles, indicating that the SUV market is gradually catching up with the car market.

The SUV sales ranking in November this year has changed a lot from October, from a joint-venture SUV-dominated market to an autonomous SUV-dominated market, with 60% of the top 10 ranking occupied by independent brands. In addition to the self-owned SUV models Harvard, Chang 'an, Geely and Roewe, which have long occupied the top ten list, BYD Song also rose to the fifth position in a straight line this month, knowing that the model was still out of the top ten in October.

In contrast, the biggest drop this month was Volkswagen Tiguan, which plummeted from fourth place last month to just outside the top ten. For many years, Volkswagen Tiguan has been in the forefront of domestic SUV, but also Volkswagen's top brand model. Tiguan had obviously been caught off guard ever since Tanyue appeared. It had been squeezed out of the top three by Tanyue, and now it had dropped to outside ten, which was also shocking.

Although sales of autonomous SUVs are currently higher than those of joint-venture SUVs, it should be noted that the number of autonomous SUVs on the market is twice that of joint-venture SUVs, and if the average market share is higher, joint-venture SUVs are slightly better. Moreover, the performance of autonomous SUV is not as stable as that of joint-venture models. Only some models of head-autonomous vehicles occupy a large sales volume in the market, and half of the remaining autonomous models sell less than 1000 vehicles per month. In contrast, nearly 75% of the joint venture SUV models remain above 1,000 monthly sales, so it is not the autonomous models shown on the sales list that sell better than the joint venture models.

Overall, the performance of joint venture SUV models in November will be slightly lower than that of outstanding autonomous SUV, but the market performance is also the same, but this year the performance of Japanese models has been relatively stable, and such as the Great Wall and Chang 'an with lower prices and higher cost performance models, will also be consumers' attention. At the same time, the SUV market, which once went up and down, is back at its peak.
