AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/20 Report--

The European Union recently issued new regulations requiring all newly built pure electric and hybrid vehicles to be equipped with an audible alarm system, and by July 1, 2021, all existing pure electric and new energy vehicles must also be modified. It is understood that this is to deal with a series of safety problems caused by the low sound of electric vehicles, and the noise should be enough to attract the attention of passers-by, especially the blind, so that they can predict in time and make correct judgments.

According to the requirements of the European Union, the audible alarm system of vehicles should be activated automatically when the speed is below 20km/h per hour, and when the speed is above 20km/h per hour, the noise generated by pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles should be enough to attract the attention of passers-by, and the sound should be close to the noise of internal combustion engine vehicles. The European Union will also review the car again to assess whether the sound has achieved the desired effect.

It is understood that various car companies have launched their own solutions in the face of the relevant regulatory requirements put forward by the European Union. For example, equipped with speakers for their own electric vehicles, or near the motor and so on.
