It is understood that the adjustment version for the standard battery life upgrade version and all-drive long battery life version of two models, both models price increase of $500, of which, the standard battery life enhanced version (i.e. domestic Model 3 same model) price increase from $39490 to $39990, all-wheel drive long battery life version price increase from $48490 to $48990, the specific reason Tesla did not give, Tesla also refused to comment.

In the Chinese market, there has been no price adjustment. However, before this, every price adjustment of Tesla in the United States will synchronize the price on China's official website. Due to the special price adjustment, Tesla's official website in China has not changed the price at present, but it is not ruled out that the price will rise synchronously soon.

On Oct.17 and Nov.2, Tesla adjusted the Model 3 price by $500 because it improved the battery life of both models through OTA. Tesla salespeople, meanwhile, have revealed that price increases will be adjusted for the imported Model 3 in January next year.

Now Tesla has completed its construction in China, and the domestic version of Model 3 has started pre-delivery mode. According to media reports, 600 domestic versions of Model 3 have been shipped out of Tesla's Shanghai factory and shipped to Tesla Customer Delivery Center.

As early as May this year, Tesla opened a reservation for the domestic Model 3 in China, starting at 328,000 yuan. Until the end of September this year, Tesla officially released the news that the domestic Model 3 was open for booking through its official Weibo account, and the subsidized price was 355,800 yuan.

In addition, according to Tesla's official website in China, Tesla has also lowered the NEDC range of the domestic version of Model 3, and the standard upgraded range has been changed from the original "460km (NEDC estimate)" to "445km range national standard operating method".

It is understood that the cruising range decreases due to conversion reasons. The original NEDC cruising range of 460km is converted according to EPA endurance data of overseas version models. With the domestic version listed in the new energy vehicle promotion catalogue of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the endurance data of new vehicles shall be replaced with measured data according to Chinese test standards.

At present, the starting price of the domestic Model 3 is 355,800 yuan, slightly higher than the previously announced price, but the domestic version of the Model 3 will have a subsidy of 24,750 yuan due to the national new energy subsidy policy, which is still higher than the initial starting price. Obviously, Tesla must accept its "from time to time" price adjustment. After all, Tesla is the most advanced and best-selling electric vehicle at present.
