A few days ago, the US authority released a "consumer report" of the top ten fuel-efficient SUV models in 2019, which was almost killed by the Japanese system, and the test standard was calculated on the basis of average fuel consumption per 100km.

According to the Consumer report's ranking of fuel-efficient SUV models of the year, the first place is the Lexus compact SUV UX, the second place is Toyota's new RAV4, and the third place is Chevrolet explorer. Although the Lexus UX is a compact model, its space is very small, and because it is equipped with a new generation of hybrid technology, it gets a good sense of comfortable driving in the evaluation of "Mei Xiao", but it is also quite boring.

The second Toyota RAV4 is also due to the performance of hybrid technology and the cooperation of the powerful 2.5L four-cylinder engine and the six-speed automatic transmission, which makes the four-wheel drive model have excellent comprehensive fuel consumption. The Chevrolet explorer is one of the top 10 models located in a non-Japanese brand, so the results are very outstanding. Because the model is an oil extraction model, before the hybrid technology is popular, diesel cars have always been the most fuel-efficient models, making their models weigh 1.7 tons and have a good indication of fuel consumption.

The fourth and fifth place is also from Lexus's RX and NX, which differ in having a larger proportion of models and engines. RX positioning is a medium and large SUV, equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine + motor hybrid assembly, in terms of its positioning, such fuel saving is already rare.

From the list, the lowest score is this 1.8L HR-V, although the name is different, but it is actually a domestic colorful intelligence or XR-V, positioning is a small SUV, but in terms of performance, the positioning and comprehensive fuel consumption of the model is not outstanding, so the comprehensive score is not high.

Ranked 7th and 8th are Subaru's XV and Forest Man, both of which are imported in China, so the price will be relatively high, resulting in low domestic sales. However, what is different from China is that American models are equipped with horizontal opposite engines, and fuel consumption performance is often ignored in order to reduce the control advantage brought by the center of gravity, but the forest people are obviously superior to the same class models in preferential performance, while the XV has lower emissions and lighter vehicle weight and lower natural fuel consumption.

There is no hybrid SUV model, of course, the fuel consumption performance is not outstanding, but the Honda CRV is equipped with a 1.5T engine, compared with the ordinary self-priming model, the turbine fuel consumption performance is also relatively low. Compared with the smaller Mazda CX-3,CR-V, it has the same fuel consumption, which is obviously more cost-effective.

In the North American "Consumer report", basically all the models we see are sold in China, except Subaru XV, Subaru Forest Man, Mazda CX-3 and diesel version explorers, the other six SUV are relatively popular in the market, such as Honda CR-V has achieved high sales for a long time, it can be seen that fuel consumption is also an important standard for consumers to buy cars.
