Toyota's senior executives in China are transferred specifically as follows:

Dazhuren, executive deputy general manager of Lexus China, will succeed Masashi Miziya as executive deputy general manager of FAW Toyota Motor sales Co., Ltd., and Masahiro Mizutani will leave and return home.

The position of executive deputy general manager of Lexus China will be taken over by Li Hui, executive deputy general manager of GAC Toyota.

The position of executive deputy general manager of GAC Toyota is taken over by Wen Li, deputy general manager of GAC Toyota in charge of procurement and management.

According to the information, Dazhuren has served in Toyota for 30 years, came to China in 2005, successively worked in FAW Toyota, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota, Toyota China, and then joined Lexus China in January 2018 as executive deputy general manager. Under its leadership, Lexus sales in China continue to rise, with sales of 160000 vehicles in 2018, an increase of 21% compared with the same period last year. From January to November 2019, Lexus sold 180200 vehicles in China and is expected to break the 200000 mark for the whole year.

Li Hui joined GAC Toyota as vice minister of sales in 2009 and has been executive deputy general manager since 2013. This time Li Hui took up the post of deputy general manager of Lexus China, which is also the first time that a Chinese executive has held the post.

It is worth noting that the above personnel appointments will come into effect on January 1, 2020.

Not long ago, Japanese Toyota officially announced that from January 1, 2020, Toyota will split the Asian region into "China business" and "Asian business". The two major businesses exist separately, further enhancing the position of the Chinese market within the Toyota Group. Toyota said the initiative would enable leaders in each business and region to implement the necessary strategies based on rapid decision-making to strengthen and accelerate implementation capabilities.

Toyota is further strengthening its production layout in the Chinese market. Toyota plans to double its car production capacity in China by 2020. By then, the total production capacity in China will reach 2 million vehicles per year.

In terms of electrification, Toyota plans to launch 10 all-electric models in China by 2025. In November this year, Toyota also signed a joint venture agreement with BYD on the establishment of a pure electric vehicle research and development company, which will be formally established in 2020. The two sides will jointly carry out the related business of pure electric vehicles and vehicle platforms, parts design and research and development.

In addition, Akio Toyoda came to China in September this year and signed agreements with joint venture partners FAW Group and GAC GROUP to further deepen technical cooperation in the fields of new energy vehicles, energy-efficient vehicles and intelligent networks. specifically, including fuel cell technology, hybrid technology, electric vehicles and other cooperation.

Toyota upgrades its position in the Chinese market, strengthens personnel management in its joint ventures and Lexus China, or intends to further improve its business capabilities in the Chinese market to meet challenges from competitors and future market changes.
