In the items of crashworthiness and maintenance economy, the BMW 3 Series is rated as P (poor). Although the car is rated as P in the crashworthiness and maintenance economy index, it does not mean that the car is not crashworthy. The main reason is that the maintenance economy of the vehicle is too poor, resulting in the overall rating of P.

The crashworthiness of the frontal and rear-end crashworthiness of the new 3 series passed full marks, while the maintenance economy scores were 0 and 7 (out of 24), respectively, and there was no airbag initiation in the frontal collision of 15km/h low-speed structure.

In terms of occupant safety, the new 3 series were rated G (excellent) in the front 25% offset crash test of 64km/h, the side impact test of 50km/h, and the roof strength and seat / headrest test.

This time, the China Insurance Research Institute uses the 2020 325Li M sports suit model, which is officially priced at 346900 yuan. It is equipped with driver front airbags, front passenger front airbags, front side airbags, front / rear side air curtains and AEB automatic emergency braking system.

As a luxury car, this configuration is not excellent, because the airbag equipment of Toyota Leiling is also more than that of the BMW 3-Series, but the overall performance is still good, and the basic protective airbags are equipped. Of course, this is also the performance of active and passive safety protection as a luxury model.

Compared with the 2018 318i models tested by China Insurance Research, the safety has also been improved. In the previous generation of model evaluation, the front 25% offset collision obtained M (medium rating). Due to the serious deformation of the vehicle structure, the dummy's right foot was stuck, which led to the injury of the dummy's legs and feet, thus getting a P (bad rating).

At present, the sales volume of the new 3 series is still climbing, and the engine recall last month also made it subject to some marketing. According to the sales data released by the Federation of passengers, the cumulative sales of 10626 vehicles in November this year, down 8.2% from the same period last year. The cumulative sales in the previous month were 98748, down 18.3% from the same period a year earlier.
