Recently, some media visited a concentrated area of a new energy vehicle 4S store in Beijing and found that most car dealers have entered the same cold winter as the current season, and the stores including BAIC, Changan and BYD are slightly deserted. In theory, the auto market should enter the peak sales season near the end of the year, but now it seems to be out of order.

A salesperson at BYD's 4S store said, "New energy cars are having a hard time this year, and even the end of the year won't make much difference. This is already the default situation in the industry." He also said that the car market was always busy at the end of last year, but this year the situation is special, so we can't look at it the way we used to.

Indeed, the situation has changed a lot this year and in previous years. Since the subsidies declined in July this year, local subsidies for new energy vehicles have been cancelled, and the national subsidy standard has been reduced by more than 50%. This means that the overall decline in subsidies for new energy vehicles has reached 70% to 80%.

Take the best-selling BYD Qin EV450 in the market as an example, the model can receive 60, 000 yuan from the state and 30, 000 yuan from the local government, but after the implementation of the new policy, the subsidy received by car companies is only 25000 yuan, and the price difference between them can only be borne by car companies or consumers.

For the promotion of specific models, the above sales staff said that at present, the maximum discount for BYD yuan pure electric cars is only 5000 yuan, but a few months ago, the discount for the model could at least reach 6000 yuan. BYD Tang still offers a discount of 12000 yuan, but it will be adjusted after this month.

The same situation has also occurred in BAIC New Energy and Changan New Energy. A salesperson at Changan New Energy 4S store said that the discount amount of Changan Yiyou EV460 was as much as 15000 yuan, but now the discount will not be more than 13000 yuan.

The reporter noticed that the discount for buying a car gift package has also been greatly reduced or even cancelled. The above sales staff explained that car maintenance gift packages were often sent to the store at the end of the year for drainage, but they have been cancelled this year.

As for the situation of not increasing but decreasing the preferential intensity of car dealers, BYD's sales staff also explained: "now the market is not good, manufacturers can not sell cars, there is no profit pressure naturally increases, and at the same time, with the cancellation of state subsidies, so that most car companies choose to bear their own costs, so that they can survive if they do not raise prices."

Some people in the industry have pointed out that subsidized slope reduction can make the advantages and disadvantages of the new energy vehicle industry more obvious, thus allowing automobile companies to improve the value of their products in the competition and make the development of new energy vehicles more mature, and it is also urgent for enterprises to adjust prices reasonably in order to find a break-even point.

In the original new energy vehicle market, consumers do not have to bear too much cost when buying electric cars, but it is also natural for car companies to adjust prices after the subsidy goes downhill, although such a situation will cause consumer dissatisfaction, the market will fall back into a "cold wave", but in the end we can only accept this reality.

As for how car companies adjust prices in the future, models with high practicality still sell well. after all, no one is willing to choose an electric car that is practical and has a range of only 200 to 300 kilometers in order to save some money.
