Today, BYD unveiled the latest pictures of its brand new car, BYD Han. BYD also revealed that the car completed wind tests at the Shanghai ground vehicle Wind Tunnel Center, with a wind resistance coefficient of 0.233Cd.

The so-called wind resistance coefficient refers to the largest and most important external force encountered in the vehicle driving. Through the parameters obtained by the wind tunnel test, the air resistance encountered in the driving process can be calculated. The magnitude of the wind resistance coefficient depends on the shape of the vehicle. The greater the wind resistance coefficient, the greater the air resistance.

What's the surprise about BYD's achievement? According to the wind resistance coefficient announced by mainstream models, this achievement surpasses Xiaopeng P7 (0.236Cd), Tesla Model S (0.24 Cd), Geely Geometry A (0.2375 Cd) and so on.

Han is a high-end flagship medium-sized sedan owned by BYD, and BYD's spy photos have been exposed many times before, but the body of the car is covered in camouflage, making it difficult to see the true face of the new car.

According to the spy photos previously exposed and the pictures released this time, BYD Han continues the design language of the "dynasty family" in appearance, and the new car highly restores the design style of the E-SEED GT concept car (which was first unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show). The forward air grille uses a fully enclosed design, a long, narrow headlight group and a heavy front, making the whole car look more beautiful.

The side of the car body is designed with hidden door handle and water droplet rearview mirror, which reduces the wind resistance to a certain extent. The shape of the rear of the car appears to be very simple, and the slightly warped duck tail enhances its sense of movement. According to BYD's previously released data, BYD Han length, width and height for 4950/1890/1490mm, wheelbase for 2940mm, spatial performance has a clear advantage.

In terms of power, the BYD Han front drive car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 2.0T engine and a 150 front axle motor, while the three-engine four-wheel drive model will also be equipped with a rear axle motor with a maximum power of 476 horsepower, speeding up for 2.9 seconds.

According to the China Trademark website, the car logo will be designed with a LOGO design similar to the seal character. After the release of the picture, BYD also unveiled a new car emblem, officially known as Hanzhiwei.

The new car is positioned as a medium and large sedan, and in the future BYD will only launch new energy versions (DM and EV), which are expected to go on sale in June 2020, with a pre-price of around 300000 yuan, against the Standard Tesla Model 3. In addition, BYD will also release a new A + class SUV. At present, the BYD dynasty series already has Qin, Tang, Song and Yuan models, covering fuel vehicles, plug-ins and pure electric models. Han is the fifth product of BYD's "dynasty series". The launch of BYD Han will further improve the dynasty camp and refine the product market.
