"one" Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. recalled some imported C-Class and E-Class cars produced from April 7, 2015 to July 20, 2018, totaling 2371.

"II" Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 37208 domestic C-Class and E-Class cars produced from September 18, 2014 to August 27, 2018.

The reason for the recall is that due to the production deviation of some vehicles, there may be welding defects in the fuel tank filling pipe, resulting in fuel seeping from the connection between the fuel filling pipe and the fuel tank. In extreme cases, if there is an external fire source in the fuel leakage position, it may cause a fire and there is a hidden danger to safety. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will replace qualified fuel tanks for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

At the same time, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. From now on, a total of 29 imported GLE SUV vehicles produced during the period from April 13, 2019 to April 27, 2019 will be recalled.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the auxiliary battery under the co-driver's seat has no cover. In extreme cases, the conductive material may fall on the auxiliary battery and cause a short circuit and cause a fire, which may cause safety risks. Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will install cover plates for the affected vehicles free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

According to sales figures, Mercedes-Benz sold 57901 vehicles in China in November, up 11 per cent from a year earlier, and accumulated sales in the first 11 months to 640933, up 6.3 per cent from a year earlier.

In the case of sales growth, Mercedes-Benz recalls as much as other automakers. Among the recalled models, the E-Class and C-Class are the worst-hit areas of the Mercedes-Benz recall. According to statistics, in November this year, Mercedes-Benz filed a total of 402172 recalls with the State Administration of Market Supervision for a total of three times, of which 394478 E-Class cars were recalled due to broken shock absorbers, while in May this year, Mercedes-Benz recalled 571496 C-Class and E-Class cars, including 299780 E-Class cars and 271716 C-Class cars, also because of the broken shock absorber.
