AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)12/18 Report--
At present, the SUV of the Bowo brand includes BX7, BX5 and other products. In order to improve the product camp, Bowo will launch a new small SUV-- Bowo BX3, which will be officially launched on December 20.
From the appearance of the new car, the Bowo BX3 follows the design language of the Bowo family, the forward air grille adopts straight waterfall design and fumigation treatment, and the diamond logo embedded in the center shows the atmosphere of the whole car. The new headlights are designed with a single lens, which is somewhat similar to the Bowo BX5. The side lines of the car body are relatively smooth, and the overall shape of the rear part is simple. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4410mm/1828mm/1670mm and the wheelbase is 2560mm.
The interior design of Bowo BX3 also adopts the usual design style of Bowo. The suspension type is the air conditioning outlet arranged horizontally at the bottom of the screen, and the new car gear is surrounded by functions such as multimedia control, water cup holder, one-button start, electronic handbrake and automatic parking.
On the power side, the new car will be equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine codenamed BWE414A, with a maximum power of 150hp (110kW).
It is understood that the declaration information of Bowo BX3 was made public as early as May last year, but the car could not be put on the market due to various reasons.
According to public data, Shikar Bowo founded the Bowo car brand in 1919. At that time, Bowo was indeed a well-known car brand in Germany, which once competed with Mercedes-Benz in the market. However, due to declining sales, poor performance and insufficient product power, Bowo finally declared bankruptcy in 1960.
In 2015, BAIC Foton bought Bowo for 5 million euros. Bowo did win a lot of popularity under the banner of "German four brothers", but the good times did not last long, as Bowo's products failed to keep up with the development of the times, resulting in a decline in sales.
The decline in Bowo sales led directly to BAIC's profit loss at Foton, which had revenue of 31.1 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2018, down 14.48 per cent from a year earlier. The net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was-1.694 billion yuan, down 1324.33% from the same period last year. In the face of loss-making Bowo, Futian, which bought Bowo, was overwhelmed and was listed in October 2018 to transfer a 67% stake in Beijing Bowo Automobile Co., Ltd., looking for a pickup.
On December 28, 2018, Shenzhou Youche bought Bowo Automobile for 4.11 billion yuan. At this point, Shenzhou Youche officially took over Bowo Automobile.
According to relevant data, Bowo's cumulative sales in the first 10 months of 2019 were about 46500, an increase of about 52 per cent year-on-year. In the depressed market environment, it is not easy for Bowo to achieve sales growth. However, only a very small number of Bowo cars acquired by Shenzhou Youche are actually put into the end market. The main business of Shenzhou excellent car is to rent and buy a car, which needs a huge amount of purchase to meet the operational demand, so most of the models of Bowo are put into Shenzhou excellent car.
I do not know whether the upcoming Bowo BX3 will become a bright spot for Bowo cars. After all, Bowo is no longer the Bowo of Germany, but the Baowo of China.
