Aichi U5 is officially launched tonight, which is an important step for Aichi in the auto market. However, Aichi U5's "luck" is not very good. According to the latest crash test results released by the automobile safety certification authority E-NCAP (European Association for New car Safety Evaluation), three products from two Chinese car companies have accepted the challenge of E-NCAP crash test, of which Aichi U5, which is owned by Aichi Automobile, has a rating of only Samsung.

Judging from the specific test results, the safety score rate of adults is 73%, and that of children is 70%. The main deduction point is the post collision test. The driver's dummy suffered a severe blow to the head, with a full side score of 16 points and only 7.5 points. Among them, the post impact test scored 0.

Aichi U5, as the first mass-produced model of Aichi, can achieve L2 self-driving, but in the E-NCAP test, the final score is only 55%, of which the full score of the speed assist test is 3, only 0.3, and the rating is weak.

Aichi Automobile, as a new car-building force, its first mass production model, Aichi U5, was officially off the line in June 2018. From the course of development, Aichi U5 is not a mature product. Compared with BAIC New Energy, BYD New Energy and GAC NE models, there is a big gap. In addition, according to the current development of domestic car-building new forces, there are varying degrees of quality problems, and even exposed the existence of product defects.
