According to foreign media reports, Toyota officially announced today that the Japanese local version of Toyota Ruizhi "Mark X" officially stopped production. The last mass-produced model was officially offline at the Wonmachi factory in Toyoda City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
In April 2019, Toyota launched the final version of the Mark X, which dates back to 1968, the predecessor of the Mark X series, the Toyota Mark II.
Toyota Mark II has experienced nine generations of models, and it was not until 2004 that the market was gradually replaced by MARK X. Toyota also made a commemorative video to commemorate the shutdown of Toyota Ruizhi.
In 2005, in China, the first generation of Toyota Mark X, code-named X120, was also officially put into production by Tianjin FAW Toyota, which became known as Toyota Ruizhi. Subsequently, the second-generation Toyota Mark X codenamed X130 and its first modified model continued to be sold in domestic form in the Chinese market, and its good quality made Ruizhi have a good reputation in the medium-sized car market.
Its sporty appearance, V6 engine and rear drive system also make it popular among car fans and modification enthusiasts. With the change of the market environment, the domestic version of Toyota Ruizhi officially stopped production in September 2017.
It is understood that starting from the original Mark II in 1968, the car has produced a total of 6881500 units worldwide in 51 years, including 6518000 Mark II and about 363500 Mark Xs.
