Guangzhou Auto Honda Haoying, which officially launched on November 30 this year, has ordered more than 20,000 units in less than a month, which is indeed a good performance for a newly launched model, according to GAC Honda officials.

Although Haoying is a new model created by Honda under Honda's two-car strategy in China, its prototype is the CRV, a sister model from Dongfeng Honda, which is also located in the compact SUV model, except for the appearance and interior details, the two are basically similar. Even so, Haoying has received a high degree of attention since it went public.

Now it has received 20, 000 orders within a month of its launch, and of course, the news includes the data that the new car exceeded 10000 orders (including pre-sale) the day after its launch, which was sold as soon as it was born by Honda.

However, it is worth noting that Honda Haoying was exposed at the beginning of this month that the new car launched a total of 11 models with a price range of 16.98-252800 yuan, while the quotation table given by a Guangzhou Automobile Honda dealer somewhere in Guangdong showed that Haoying directly added 10,000 yuan to the original manufacturer's guiding price, changed the guiding price to 18.98-262800 yuan, and collected it in the form of mandatory addition of some project functions.

The terminal price announced by Haoying is fair to many people. Compared with CR-V, which has experienced various "door" events for a long time on the market, Haoying's new car is listed at the same terminal price, and the new car has also been upgraded in some details, which is obviously more cost-effective than CRV.

Originally thought that GAC Honda's advantage in price is its decision to gain a larger market share, but unexpectedly made a price increase after preheating, as soon as the news came out, it was resented by many consumers. At the beginning of the listing of Dongfeng Honda CR-V, it also decided to increase its price because of the rising market heat, but it was later curbed because of various disturbances. Today's GAC Honda Haoying can not be a shell-changing CR-V model, and the product itself is basically the same as the CR-V that has been on the market for two years. Haoying's price increase sales make it difficult for consumers to understand.

But now, even under the behavior of the price increase and the influence of terminal discounts on the "sister" model CR-V, Haoying still won orders of more than 20, 000 units, which means that its sales will exceed 20, 000 units in December, which not only gives Haoying more self-confidence, but also brings a certain increase in sales for Guangzhou Auto Honda. At the same time, it also proves the success of Honda's two-car strategy in China and fills the gap of Guangzhou Auto Honda in the compact SUV market.

With the birth of Haoying, Honda's two-car strategy will further seize the domestic compact SUV market, while Guangzhou Auto Honda's product line will also be supplemented. Sales figures show that Honda sold 140300 new cars in China in November, up 2.6 per cent from a year earlier, of which Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 69000 vehicles, up 2.0 per cent from a year earlier, while Dongfeng Honda sold 71200 vehicles, up 3.3 per cent from a year earlier. In the year to November 2019, Honda sold 1.4116 million vehicles in China, up 13.8% from a year earlier, of which Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 698200 vehicles from January to November, up 7.3% from a year earlier, and Dongfeng Honda sold 713300 vehicles from January to November, up 21% from a year earlier.
