As a special brand and model in the Chinese market, Jetta has become a low-cost car brand under the Volkswagen Group, which is blessed by Volkswagen technology, but does not hang the Volkswagen standard, and mainly aims at the car purchasing hearts of Chinese consumers. and compete with independent car brands in an all-round way.

In terms of overall sales, Jetta performed well in its first year. Although there is no Volkswagen halo, its quality is still endorsed by Volkswagen technology, and the platform and some core technologies are still used by Volkswagen. In addition, the name "Jetta" has a very solid foundation with Chinese consumers, so Jetta sales are considerable.

At present, Jetta has planned three models, and so far it has launched two models.

The compact SUV Jetta VS5 went on sale at the Chengdu Auto Show on September 5, with a price of 8.48-112800 yuan. Except for the manual gear with a minimum price of 84800 yuan, the automatic gear starts at 91800 yuan, all of which are equipped with 1.4T EA211 engines.

Jetta VS5 is based on Volkswagen MQB A1 platform and is manufactured by FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu plant. The front face of the new car uses a large hexagonal front grille design, does not hang the Volkswagen brand logo, but Jetta J brand LOGO, the design is inspired by the initials "J" of "JETTA".

In terms of body size, its length, width and height are 4419/1841/1616mm, wheelbase is 2630mm, positioning is compact SUV. Jetta VS5 interior decoration uses a large area of hard plastic, interior layout has a popular shadow.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with an EA211 1.4T engine with a maximum power of 150hp and a peak torque of 250Nm. In terms of transmission, it matches the 5-gear manual or Aishin 6-speed manual self-integrated gearbox.

The Jetta VA3, which went on sale on September 16th, is the original FAW-Volkswagen Jetta. The new car features a total of four configurations with a price range of 6.58-92800 yuan. The new car basically follows the design of the old Jetta, and the most fundamental change is to replace the Jetta brand LOGO. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 112 horsepower and a peak torque of 145 Nm, which matches the Ericsson six-speed automatic transmission and the five-speed manual transmission.

In addition, Jetta's next new car, named VS7, locates a larger compact SUV, which is expected to start at around 110000 yuan.
