From now on, a total of 81 imported BMW M5 and M8 cars produced from January 29, 2019 to October 15, 2019 will be recalled.

Reasons for recall:

Incorrect wiring of the transmission harness may cause interference, damage and short circuit of the transmission harness, which may cause the vehicle to enter the emergency operation state of the gearbox and switch to the neutral position (N); when the vehicle is restarted in the stationary state, the transmission will be switched to the parking gear (P). This will lead to the loss of vehicle transmission power, increase the risk of accidents, and there are hidden dangers.

Solution:

BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will repair the transmission wire harness for vehicles within the recall area free of charge, and replace the transmission wire harness if the wire harness is damaged to eliminate safety risks.
