According to car quality net statistics, a total of 8354 valid complaints were received from car owners in December 2019, an increase of 11.5% month-on-month and 4% year-on-year. Judging from the ranking, the number of complaints from independent brands, joint venture brands and imported brands all increased to varying degrees compared with the previous month, with independent brands rising by 17.4% compared with November.

From the complaint ranking, the complaint is still dominated by Dongfeng Peugeot 408, Peugeot 408 in the case of low sales, complaints continue to dominate the list for many months is nothing new, the main reason for the complaint is the problem of burning engine oil and tire cracking, but compared with before, the number of complaints of Dongfeng Peugeot 408 is decreasing, whether the complaint problem has been resolved or consumers have lost confidence in the car. I don't know!

Second on the complaint list is Tanyue, one of FAW-Volkswagen's best-selling SUV models and one of the best-selling SUV models on the market. It sold more than 20, 000 vehicles for three months in a row from September to November, but the number of complaints suddenly increased sharply due to abnormal transmission noise and poor lights. The surge in the number of complaints from German Volkswagen is not a good momentum for Volkswagen, even if the product power and technology are excellent, problems may lead to the loss of the market of best-selling products.

It is worth noting that in the top 10 list, with the exception of Dongfeng Peugeot 408 and FAW-Volkswagen Tanyue, the number of complaints decreased compared with last month, other brand models showed month-on-month growth. Among them, Great Wall Harvard F7 and Guangzhou Automobile Honda Accord increased relatively. The number of Harvard F7 cases increased to 108 from 40 last month, up 202.7% from the previous month. The main reasons for the complaints were vehicle interconnection failures and audio-visual system failures. The number of complaints against GAC Honda Accord increased for several months in a row, and the problem of "increased engine oil" appeared again in December.

The Citroen C4L and Peugeot 408, both French cars, complained mainly about excessive steering clearance and engine oil burning in December. But it is worth noting that Citroen C4L is not doing well so far. For Citroen, C4L is frequently on the list of complaints, which can be said to make matters worse.

In addition, the number of complaints about Japanese Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi and Qijun increased slightly compared with the previous month, mainly over transmission and service issues.

According to the complaint list in December, joint venture models still occupy the majority of seats, while Japanese, German and American complaints account for almost the same. in the current era of the rapid rise of independent brands, once joint venture brands have product problems, status has also been challenged.

On the issue of car quality, automobile manufacturers still need to make more efforts to manage their own brands well. although some brands still have high sales under the premise of high complaints, in the long run, it is bound to cause consumer dissatisfaction. Evasion and inaction will only increase consumers' aversion to the brand.
