Recall models:

From now on, BMW China recalls a total of 14 imported BMW 318i, 323i and 328i vehicles produced from July 1, 1998 to April 28, 2000.

Reasons for recall:

The vehicle within the scope of this recall is due to defects made by the supplier of the airbag, the NADI gas generator for the driver's airbag is incomplete, and its internal medicament may be damp and deteriorate after long-term use in a high humidity environment, and the airbag gas generator may be abnormally damaged when the airbag is unfolded, causing debris to fly out, injuring the personnel inside the vehicle, and there are hidden dangers.

Solution:

BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will inspect and repair vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks. For the vehicles produced in 1998, the defective airbag gas generator was installed at the time of production and will be replaced by the improved new product. For vehicles produced in 2000, defective airbag gas generators may be replaced during after-sale maintenance, and the serial numbers of these vehicles' airbag gas generators will be checked. If confirmed as defective batches, they will be replaced with new products after improvement.

In addition, for the convenience of users, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will also provide a plan to buy back vehicles for users to choose from.
