The test results showed that Xiaopeng G3 got P (poor) in crashworthiness and maintenance economy index, and G (excellent) in occupant safety index, pedestrian safety index and vehicle auxiliary safety index.

Specifically, in terms of crashworthiness and maintenance economy index, the frontal collision score of 15km/h is 2, of which the crashworthiness score is 2 (out of 6), and the maintenance economy score is 0 (out of 24). In the end, Xiaopeng car G3 gets poor overall evaluation (P) in terms of crashworthiness and maintenance economy.

The occupant safety index includes four tests: front 25% offset collision, side collision, roof strength and seat / headrest (i.e. whiplash injury test). Of these, 64km/h 's 25% offset crash and 50km/h side crash rating is A (good), and the roof strength and seat / headrest rating are G (excellent).

The front 25% offset collision attracted the most attention, and the Xiaopeng G3 got 6 G (excellent), 1 A (good) and 1 M (general). From the results of the 25% offset collision on the front, the A column of Xiaopeng G3 did not bend obviously, which was much better than that of Zhong Passat, and finally got a (good) evaluation.

In terms of pedestrian safety index, the score of head test was 14.241, the score of leg test was 6.000, and the total score was 20.241 (67%), and finally got excellent (G) evaluation.

In the aspect of vehicle auxiliary safety index, the FCW score is 0, the AEB score is 5, and the total score is 5. Finally, the excellent (G) evaluation is obtained.

It is worth mentioning that the Xiaopeng G3 is the first pure electric model to participate in the C-IASI test, and it is also the first model for the new car-building forces to participate in the C-IASI test. According to statistics, Xiaopeng sold 16608 vehicles in 2019, and the completion rate of the sales target of 2019 (40, 000 vehicles) is only 41.52%.
