AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)01/14 Report--
Today, China Insurance Research announced the second batch of seventh models in 2019, including the G3 from Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motor. According to the test results, the Xiaopeng G3 won 4 "excellent" and 2 "good" results.
It is understood that Xiaopeng G3 safety equipment is equipped with driver front airbag, front passenger front airbag, front side airbag, not equipped with AEB (automatic emergency braking system). Xiaopeng G3 2020 is equipped with AEB and is only used for vehicle auxiliary safety testing.
China Insurance Research crash Test (C-IASI) refers to the test standard and operation method of IIHS of American Highway Safety Insurance Association, and selects hot-selling or hot models in the past two years according to the standard of market ownership, underwriting, annual sales and frequency of getting out of danger.
Recently, many best-selling models have also been tested, and their harshness has been frequently scrubbed on the screen recently, just like Volkswagen's Passat model became popular in this test. In such a standard, Xiaopeng G3 as an intelligent pure electric SUV, the final score of 4 "excellent" and 2 "good" results, it seems that Xiaopeng G3 still has a good reliable safety.
The test results show that in terms of crashworthiness and maintenance economy index, the frontal collision score of 15km/h is 2, in which the crashworthiness score is 2 (out of 6), the maintenance economy score is 0 (out of 24), the airbag detonation occurs in the frontal impact test, and the maintenance ratio is 17.48%.
The rear-end collision score of 15km/h is 13.5, of which the crashworthiness score is 3.5 (out of 6), the maintenance economy score is 10 (out of 24), and the tail-collision maintenance ratio is 3.98%. The final weighted score was 5.83 (out of 30), and the Xiaopeng G3 got a poor (P) rating. The other three tests all have an excellent rating of (G).
However, after Xiaopeng announced the crash results, many media and consumers have come to the conclusion that Xiaopeng cars are not resistant to crashworthiness, and even netizens in the forum have called Xiaopeng G3 "the worst car in the Baoyan test."
Li Xiaopeng, founder of Xiaopengqi, gave a different view, saying that Xiaopeng will spare no effort in the field of safety, whether it is vehicle safety, electric safety or intelligent safety. What makes me very happy today is that the Xiaopeng G3 completed the first collision of the electric car in the China Baoyan crash test, and achieved four excellent and two good results in the test, and the final result was comparable to the traditional luxury models known for safety, such as the Volvo X60 and the BMW 3-Series.
Many users of new energy vehicles who have bought pure electric cars are worried about the risk of the vehicle being hit. It is believed that the fierce impact will cause electrical damage, resulting in an explosion, so they all hope that the vehicle will be more crash-resistant.
In the power of newly built cars, Xiaopeng Automobile has obvious advantages, and it is one of the few brands that have taken the lead in achieving mass production. Some time ago, the price reduction of the replacement model has affected the reputation of the brand and caused serious dissatisfaction among the old users. And the performance of the collision test in China Baoyan has put a big question mark on its safety. It seems that Xiaopeng Motor has faced a lot of challenges in the near future.
