In terms of configuration, high-end models are expected to be equipped with a more comprehensive auxiliary driving system, including ACC adaptive cruising, 360-degree panoramic parking images, etc., and is expected to achieve the L2-level self-driving capability of overseas models.

The new GLA, based on the Mercedes-Benz MFA2 platform, will have more space in the rear head and legs of the new car than its main competitor, the BMW X2. The new Mercedes-Benz GLA currently declares only the M282 series 1.3T high-power engine, with a maximum power of 120kW, a peak torque of 250N.m, and a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. Compared with the same class competitor BMW X2 entry version (three cylinders 1.5T), the power advantage of the new GLA is obvious. In addition, the new GLA may only launch 1.3T high-power models in advance, followed by 1.3T low-power and 2.0T models.
