Mercedes-Benz recently reported January sales in China, with figures showing that Mercedes-Benz and its smart brand sold 72838 vehicles in China in January 2019. Among them, Mercedes-Benz sold more than 70, 000 vehicles, especially its SUV model accounted for 1/3 of the total sales, and the remaining 2/3 was composed of A-Class, C-Class, E-Class and S-Class cars.

Mercedes-Benz previously announced that it would launch 15 new cars in China in 2019, but also said that 2019 will be the year of Mercedes-Benz SUV and the electric era of Mercedes-Benz, and that more SUV models will be launched in the future. From the January sales of Mercedes-Benz in January 2019, Mercedes-Benz designated 2019 as the first year of SUV, which is also in line with the situation of the domestic car market. Mercedes-Benz will launch at least 10 models in China in 2019, of which SUV accounts for five, which shows that Mercedes-Benz attaches great importance to domestic SUV.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz will make efforts in electric vehicles this year, and the Mercedes-Benz EQC pure electric SUV will be officially launched at the end of 2019.
