The car is located in a B +-class medium-sized sedan, derived from the same platform as Guangzhou Auto Toyota Camry and Lexus ES, and announces a full-line price of 20.88-289800 yuan. Even if it is officially announced that the Crown will not stop production and continue production and sales any time soon, the launch of the Asian Dragon makes the Toyota rear-drive flagship car very embarrassing.

The size of the Asian dragon is larger than the Camry and close to the Lexus ES. The launch of only 2.5L engine series models will help to further distinguish market positioning.

The Asian Dragon is a front-drive medium-sized car specially for the American market, which is based on the Camry platform and has developed to the fifth generation model. Based on the market demand, FAW Toyota decided to introduce domestic cars as the flagship car on the Toyota TNGA structure in the Chinese market.

FAW Toyota Asia Dragon continues the main design of the American version of the model, but also makes some adjustments to domestic localization. The front face uses exaggerated big mouth air intake grille, with neatly arranged LED headlamps, the overall shape is more domineering.

Domestic Asian dragon looks a bit elongated on the side, while looking at the size data, its length, width and height are 4975/1850/1450mm, wheelbase is 2870mm, length and wheelbase are exactly the same as Lexus ES.

The tail is the recognizable side of the Asian dragon, using a through taillight with the word AVALON. On the whole, compared with the overseas version, the door handle chrome plating decoration, LED front fog lamp and other configurations are added.

The interior is decorated with a whole "big vertical tablet" style center console, and the central control area is a 9-inch multimedia LCD screen with physical buttons.

The domestic Asian dragon only provides 2.5L naturally aspirated power and 2.5L dual engine power, and the maximum power is 209hp and 218hp respectively. Among them, the 2.5L model matches the 8-block self-integrated gearbox, which has three driving modes: economic, ordinary and sports, while the hybrid model matches the hybrid system E-CVT gearbox.

To some extent, Asian Dragon has replaced part of the market of Crown, with competitors in the B + level, such as Volkswagen Passat, Buick LaCrosse, Ford Taurus, Citroen C6, etc., while sales in this level have always been awkward, not considered mainstream car positioning, and the market demand is obviously small. However, the Asian dragon finally chose to reduce the price, the price went down further, and there was a large overlap with the Camry in pricing, and even the entry price of the Asian dragon hybrid model was lower than that of the Camry hybrid model, so the market performance of the Asian dragon is still worth looking forward to.
