With the release of the domestic car sales ranking, the data show that last year, German and Japanese brands became the two most outstanding car systems in the whole year, with global Japanese sales also selling well, with the top ten single models ranking five. German brands, which are best-selling in China, occupy only two positions in the world.

According to the sales ranking of the top 10 single models in 2019, five models are Japanese brands, three American brands, two German brands, Korean cars, French cars and domestic models are not on the list. The Japanese and German models on the list, which are owned by Toyota, Honda and Volkswagen respectively, are also sold in the domestic market and are best-selling models.

At the top of the list is the Toyota Corolla, which still holds the title of champion, with annual sales of 1.2364 million vehicles, which is even higher than that of some car companies. It has to be said that Toyota Corolla has once again become a model of success and applied to the world. Although the new generation of Corolla has been replaced in the past two years and the domestic market in the second half of 2019, its sales have successfully climbed back to the forefront, with a cumulative sales volume of 350000 vehicles for the whole year, accounting for nearly 30% of the global market.

Besides Carola, Toyota's RAV4 and Camry also ranked third and eighth. As Toyota's new RAV4 was first launched in overseas markets and achieved great success in the global market, sales increased by 11.7% year-on-year, making it the world's highest-selling compact SUV model. Due to the late listing time in the domestic market, the sales volume has not been fully liberalized, but it is still in a hot state. Toyota Camry is also on the list as the best-selling midsize sedan, and Toyota is the big winner in the segment.

Ranked second, seventh and tenth from the United States home-grown pickup models, respectively, Ford F-Series, RAM and Chevrolet, and the three can achieve stable sales, mostly relying on the data contributed by the domestic car market, in which Ford F-Series almost monopolizes the position of the US pickup truck market, and higher sales compared to RAM and Chevrolet are also due to Ford F-Series exported to many overseas regions, including the Chinese market.

The next ranking comes from Honda's compact Civic and compact SUV CR-V, which also rely on best-selling models to achieve good sales in all regions of the world, including 230000 Civic cars in the domestic market, 330000 cars in North America and 820000 cars in the two places. The same is true of CR-V, with a total of 210000 vehicles in China and 380000 in North America. Honda sells better in North America than the domestic market, indicating that Americans love Japanese brands more than the Chinese.

While German brands only Volkswagen Tuguan and Volkswagen Golf appear in the top 10, of which Tuguan models contribute the most to the European local market and the Chinese market, with cumulative domestic sales reaching 250000 vehicles. Tuguan's domestic sales have dropped by 12.5% compared with the same period last year. Golf, which was originally best-selling in China, seems to have seen a decline in sales, but now it can only be supported by the local market.

Compared with the 2018 ranking of single model sales, the top four remained unchanged, Honda CR-V rose from seventh to fifth, Toyota Camry rose one place, Volkswagen Golf slipped from sixth to ninth, and Volkswagen POLO did not appear on the list. Obviously, Japanese brands have become the most outstanding brands in 2019, both in the domestic market and in the global market.
