A few days ago, Toyota announced that it would increase the production of SUV models with additional funds.

According to the news announced by Toyota Motor a few days ago, in order to update its factory production line in Indiana, it will invest an additional US $700 million to accelerate the production of SUV Hanlanda models with high demand in North America by expanding employment and replacing modern equipment and fixtures as well as introducing the latest manufacturing technology TNGA platform.

At the same time, the company also announced changes to the models produced at its North American plant, with the Indiana plant focusing on medium-sized SUV production and large SUV Sequoia production moving to its Texas plant.

With the launch of Toyota's new RAV4, Wellanda, Camry and other models, the TNGA architecture is becoming more and more familiar to consumers. The new Hanlanda, which has been listed overseas recently, is based on the TNGA-K platform, which can not only be shared with other Toyota models, but also improve comfort and safety.

Toyota Hanlanda has considerable sales in both China and the United States, among which the domestic market even requires price increases and other cars. Judging from GAC Toyota's sales of 682008 new cars in 2019, Hanlanda accounted for 15% of the total for the whole year, with a cumulative sales of 98506 new cars, which is still strong, making it the best-selling medium-sized SUV model. At the same time, since its domestic launch in 2009, the cumulative sales of the car has exceeded 930000.

It is worth mentioning that Toyota Hanlanda has launched four generations of models; after many years, Toyota has once again launched a new generation (fourth generation) Halanda, and made its debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. However, the latest 2020 models of Hanlanda in China still use the third generation models on the market, which is only the only change of the six models abroad.

If Toyota Hanlanda based on TNGA architecture is listed this year, it will undoubtedly become a blockbuster SUV model. With its long-term accumulated good reputation, it has been doomed that the new Hanlanda will still be the benchmark for medium-sized SUV after it is listed in China. As for the fourth generation of Hanlanda's domestic models in the first half of the year or the second half of the market can only be expected.
