At the beginning of the year, Red Flag H9 officially unveiled at the Great Hall of the people in Beijing, becoming the brand's seventh production car, while one of Red Flag's models will be a medium-and large-scale pure electric SUV. According to EPA documents, Hongqi will start production of the pure electric SUV code E115 in 2020, with a total investment of 1.75 billion yuan and a total production of 51500 vehicles within six years of planning.

The car is a mass-produced version of the Red Flag E115 concept car, which was first launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September last year and was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show. The overall use of the latest family design style of Red Flag tends to be science fiction avant-garde.

In terms of appearance, the front face of the red flag E115 has a strong visual impact, the closed intake grille is a common design of pure electric vehicles, and the red flag LOGO in the middle of the front highlights the uniqueness of the car. The front shape of the new car creates an exaggerated style through the LED light source, the rearview mirror on both sides is positive and small, and the camera is expected to replace the traditional mirror, further highlighting the sense of science and technology, which may become the first self-branded car in China to adopt this technology.

On the side of the car, the new car uses a relatively hard SUV outline design, C-column and D-column chrome-plated decorative modeling appears to be very advanced. From the rear point of view, the new car's penetrating full ELD taillight group echoes with the front, while the slender taillights extend to both sides and diverge down at the end, making the whole look unique.

E115 is based on FMA platform, positioning high-end pure electric SUV, the main competition product after listing is Lulai ES8. Hongqi official said that the new car will be in the form of four-wheel drive, with seven driving modes to choose from, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of less than 4 seconds and a maximum mileage of more than 600km.

While the Red Flag brand has achieved initial results in its mid-range products, it has not stopped its pace in the high-end luxury market. In addition to the above-mentioned E115 large pure electric SUV products, the Red Flag brand has planned the next generation of Red Flag L5 new flagship cars and Red Flag S9 supercars.

The next generation of Red Flag L5 is scheduled to go into production by the end of this year, with only five units assembled each year. Red Flag new supercar S9, powered by a V8 turbocharged engine + motor composed of a hybrid system of oil and electricity, a comprehensive power of 1400 horsepower, the maximum speed can go to 400km/h, under normal conditions, 100 km acceleration is less than 2.3 seconds, but under extreme conditions, the breaking time is only 1.9 seconds, in addition, Red Flag is scheduled to be delivered worldwide in 2021.

According to the data, the cumulative sales of the Red Flag brand exceeded 100000 in 2019. Under the leadership of Xu Liuping, the Red Flag brand has also undergone great changes in its image. The former "official car" image has gradually changed into a more popular and younger brand, and it also has more choices in terms of products. In the next five years, Hongqi brand will form 21 brand-new products covering L (supreme car), S (sedan car), H (mainstream car) and Q (commercial car). Red Flag officially announced a sales target of 200000 vehicles in 2020.
