AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)01/26 Report--
It has been more than nine years since its launch in 2010, more than nine years after the discontinuation of Arnage, the brand's new flagship model, and now it is about to be delisted. According to foreign media reports, Bentley Muchan will officially stop production this spring and officially limit the sale of the last 30 Muchan 6.75 Edition special edition models, which has become the final production version of the car series.
According to Bentley officials, with the official suspension of production of Muchan, Flying Speed will become the flagship model of the Bentley sedan series at this stage. At the same time, Bentley released a special version of Muchan 6.75 Edition, and the new car was upgraded on the basis of Muchan Speed.
In terms of appearance, the special edition model uses blue car paint, chrome decoration at headlights and taillights, and bright black style at engine covers, forward grille and exhaust vents.
In terms of details, the new car uses a special badge at the back of the front wheel, which is engraved with 6.75 Edition. At the same time, the car also uses the same bottom welcome lamp as the side badge. In addition, the side of the new car is equipped with a set of 21-inch single five-spoke two-color rims, adding a sense of movement to the side of the new car.
The interior is made by Bentley's Mulliner custom division and its seats are made of custom leather in four different colors, including Imperial Blue (Imperial Blue), Beluga (Moby Whale), Fireglow (retro fiery red) and Newmarket Pan (red brown), with white lines. At the same time, the console uses bright black with silver piano decoration board, so that its interior atmosphere has been sublimated.
The new car uses a unique 6.75 Edition pattern behind the back of the seat, while the numbered nameplate of a limited number is used behind the handle to reflect its exclusive identity. In addition, there is a cross-section view of the engine inside the dial of the three tables in the T-shaped area of the console, which further highlights the commemorative significance of the car.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 6.75L V8 twin-turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 537hp, a peak torque of 1100 Nm, an extreme speed of 305km / 100km/h and an acceleration time of 4.9s. The engine intake manifold of the special edition has a unique black design, and the engine number nameplate will be personally signed by Adrian Hallmark, chairman and CEO of Bentley.
It is worth noting that the 6.75L V8 engine used in the car is the longest continuously produced V8 engine in the world, and this year also marks the 60th anniversary of its continuous production.
According to Bentley official data, a total of 11006 vehicles were delivered worldwide in 2019, with sales exceeding 10, 000 for the seventh year in a row, making the new Continental GT the best-selling model of the Bentley brand in 2019. The US market remains Bentley's largest single market, with sales of 2913 units, followed by Europe with 2670 units, while the Chinese market fell to third place due to delivery cycle problems, with a total of 1940 Bentley cars delivered in Japan and South Korea.
After the suspension of production of the top flagship car Muchan, in addition to the SUV model, the Bentley product line also has two-door GT sedan / convertible (Continental GT) and four-door sports sedan (Flying Spur).
Poor sales may be an important reason for the suspension of production, and officials have not disclosed whether the flagship car has a successor model.
