AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/05 Report--
The arrival of February 2020 means that the major lists in January will arrive one after another, and the ranking of domestic automobile complaints in January will also be officially released today. According to the statistics of the car quality Network, a total of 5636 effective complaints were received from car owners in the first month of 2020. Affected by the Spring Festival holiday, the number of complaints decreased to a certain extent compared with the same period last year, down 32.3% from the same period last year.
According to the complaint, Dongfeng Peugeot 408, which topped the list last year, was no longer at the top of the list in January. Instead, it was occupied by Passat, a subsidiary of SAIC-Volkswagen, with the number of complaints rising 94.1% month-on-month to 99, with the main complaints focused on "gearbox setbacks" and "slide valve box failures."
In addition to Passat, there are still two Volkswagen models in the top 10, while there are fewer than those on the previous list. After all, Volkswagen brand complaints, as representatives of German brands, are more unified. Basically, there are problems such as gearbox noise, engine noise and car odor. FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC-Volkswagen ranked third and fourth respectively.
As "brothers", the French models Citroen C4L and Peugeot 408 appear in fifth and eighth places, which is also a rare sight that Peugeot 408 ranks behind Citroen C4. The main complaint problem of both models is oil burning, which is one of the reasons for the mediocre sales of these two models in China.
Japanese brands became one of the few brands that bucked the trend in 2019, but the complaints also remained high for a long time, with Accord of Guangzhou Automobile and Honda and Toyota Camry of Guangzhou Automobile in the top 10 lists. among them, Accord's complaint problems are mainly focused on turning to stagnation and after-sales problems. As for the Camry's problem, many car owners think that the relevant complaint problems have not been resolved for a long time and have gradually become a stubborn disease. And those who have also maintained high positions for a long time are Nissan's Qijun and Xiaoke models. Although complaints declined in mid-January this year, Nissan's old problems have not been solved, all of which are the sudden noise of gearboxes and abnormal noises in engines, and even the abnormal situation of burning engine oil. Xuanyi and Xiaoke models, which are also Nissan, also have complaints about this problem.
In fact, Hyundai leaders of Korean models and Buick Yinglang of American models often appear in the top 10 lists, of which Buick Yinglang is mainly affected by old problems, while the main problems of modern leadership are abnormal noises and engine setbacks.
In addition, among the cumulative complaints in January, the number of complaints lodged by independent brands, joint venture brands and imported brands all decreased to varying degrees from the previous month, with imported brands falling the most, doubling from December 2019. In terms of the proportion of complaints, independent brands accounted for the largest proportion of 48%, but the complaints were scattered. The proportion of Germany, Japan, the United States, France and Korea was 14%, 12%, 14%, 4% and 5%, respectively.
Generally speaking, the models that have appeared in the complaint list for a long time mainly reflect their objective problems, and at the same time, they will also have a certain impact on brand reputation and after-sales service. Therefore, the number of complaints will also reflect the quality stability of various models and the feedback of after-sales service from manufacturers.
