Reasons for recall:

Due to the improper combination of steel and coating of the rear suspension shock absorber spring, when foreign bodies such as sand and gravel are mixed between the bottom of the rear suspension shock absorber spring and the shock absorber spring seat, the coating damage may be caused, which may lead to the corrosion of the shock absorber spring. If the corrosion deteriorates, the damping spring may break in serious cases. The damping spring is a structural part of the suspension system, and if the vehicle is damaged, the attitude of the vehicle will change, which will affect the handling performance and stability of the vehicle.

Solution:

Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will check whether the rear suspension damping springs of all recalled vehicles are wrapped in protective hoses, if not, indicate the improved front springs and replace them with improvements to eliminate safety risks.

In addition, Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will recall some imported forest man, Lion, arrogant tiger and wing leopard series cars from April 1, 2020, totaling 17178. The details are as follows:

(I) some of the 2009-2010 Forest Man series vehicles produced during the period from 20 December 2007 to 26 December 2009 were imported, totaling 14501 vehicles.

(2) some of the 2010 Li Lion and arrogant Tiger series cars produced during the period from June 5, 2009 to December 26, 2009 were imported, totaling 2281.

(III) some of the 2004-2009 wing leopard series cars produced from February 26, 2004 to July 2, 2009 were imported, totaling 396.

Reasons for recall:

The passenger airbags of some vehicles are equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without desiccant produced by Takata Company. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be damaged, resulting in metal fragments flying out, which may hurt the people in the car, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Solution:

Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will inspect the airbag gas generator for vehicles within the recall range and replace it with an improved gas generator free of charge when it is found to be an ammonium nitrate gas generator without desiccant produced by Takata Company. to eliminate safety risks.
