According to sources, Wu Zhenhao, president of Polestar Star China, will leave his post at the end of this month and return to Volvo Asia-Pacific to make other arrangements. His position was taken over by Gao Yi, a former sales director of Volkswagen Import sales Co., Ltd. Although this news has not yet been confirmed by Polar Star, if confirmed, that is to say, Polestar Polar Star brand has replaced two presidents of China in less than three years.

According to the official data of Polar Star, Wu Zhenhao officially joined the company on March 1, 2018 and replaced Shen Feng, who went to work in NIO. Previously, he served as Vice President of the Product Department of Volvo Automotive Group Asia Pacific, where he was mainly responsible for Volvo's local products, specifications, pricing and all automotive product line management operations in the Asia Pacific region. He was also the head of the commercial project for Volvo 60 series products.

Perhaps many people feel strange to the brand Polestar Star, and the model looks like a Volvo car, but it does not have a Volvo logo, and it is even suspected to be a "copycat model". In fact, the Chinese name of the Polestar brand is "Polar Star". Before it was acquired by Volvo, people used to call it "Polaris". After being acquired by Volvo, it officially became independent on October 17, 2017 to position the electric high-performance car brand.

At present, there are only two models, the first one is Polar Star 1, which is a two-door four-seat GT coupe priced at 1.45 million, with a "electric high-performance hybrid" drive system, with a mileage of up to 135km (NEDC) in pure electric mode, with an annual production limit of only 500. all vehicles will be provided by custom lease.

Its second model, which is also the first pure electric model, named Polar 2, is positioned as a five-door hatchback luxury pure electric high-performance sedan with a range of 500km and 408 horsepower, which was released in April 2019. According to the Polar Star plan, there is a third model, the Polar Star 3, which is a medium and large all-electric SUV, but it is still in the final design stage.

Although the brand model seems to be very conceptual, in fact, as early as August 2019, Polar 1 began mass production at the production base in Chengdu and entered small-scale delivery at the end of last year. As a result, Polar 1 has also become the "most expensive domestic car". The Star 2 is scheduled to begin mass production at the Luqiao factory in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province in early 2020, and delivery will begin in the first half of this year at a price of 418000.
