On February 24th, Changan Automobile Power Amplifier released the Chinese name of its new UNI product line, "Gravity", as well as the official map of the series's first cross-border compact SUV--UNI-T. It is understood that the car will be officially unveiled at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled to go on sale in June this year.

As the first model of Changan Automobile Gravity series, UNI-T adopts a new design language in appearance, the forward air grille adopts "borderless" design, and the diamond in the center spreads around and integrates with the front face. The split headlights and daily running lights on both sides of the front look very sharp, the vehicle is sci-fi avant-garde, and the car will also represent the future design style of Changan Automobile. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4515/1870/1565mm and the wheelbase is 2710mm.

In terms of configuration, according to the declaration information, the new car will provide different colors of front lights, decorative bars, multi-color body, panoramic skylight, rear enclosure, different styles of rims and so on.

In terms of power, according to the information declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the UNI-T will carry the 1.5T turbocharged engine JL473ZQ5 produced by Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., the maximum power 132kW (180Ps), and the latest generation of 2.0T Blue Whale engine in the future.

At present, the information about the car is still very limited, with the exposure of Changan UNI-T-related information, Changan Automobile Compact SUV camp has added a blockbuster model. When this model is on the market, it will work together with CS75, CS35 and other models for the sales of Changan Automobile.

According to the data, the production and sales of Changan cars in January 2020 were 123913 and 134578 respectively, down 13.7% and 4.6% respectively from the same period last year.
