A few days ago, Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products.

Recall model:

Since April 26,2019, a total of 132954 imported Forest, XV and Wing Leopard series vehicles have been recalled. The details are as follows:

(1) Some imported 2013-2015 model year F series vehicles produced between October 24,2012 and December 25,2015, totaling 90631 vehicles;

(II) 41703 partially imported XV series vehicles manufactured between August 23, 2011 and November 5, 2015 for model years 2012-2015;

(III) 620 Impreza series vehicles manufactured between September 17, 2008 and June 2, 2009 and between July 21, 2010 and January 27, 2014.

Reasons for recall and solutions:

The brake lamp switch contact mode of vehicles within the scope of this recall is unreasonable. Under the influence of silicon-containing gas volatilized from cleaning articles and cosmetics in the vehicle, insulation film may be formed at the contact point of brake lamp switch, which may cause brake lamp switch-related functions.(Brake lamp, P gear release, engine ignition, VDC dynamic control system, EyeSight driving assistance system) fails, and the warning lamp lights up at the same time; if the brake lamp fails to light up during braking of the vehicle, rear-end collision accident may be caused, resulting in potential safety hazard. Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the improved brake light switch free of charge for vehicles within the scope of recall to eliminate safety hazards.
