AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/10 Report--
With the gradual improvement of the development of intelligent vehicles, self-driving technology has become a technology integrated by more and more car companies, but there is still no relevant standard in China. On March 9, the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the recommended national standard of Automobile driving Automation Classification for approval.
According to the revision plan of the national standard system issued by the National Standards Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has organized and completed the formulation of recommended national standards for "Automation Classification of Automobile driving". However, before the approval and release of the standard, in order to further listen to the views of all sectors of the community, the draft of the standard for approval and the compilation description are now publicized. The deadline for approval is April 9, 2020, and the adoption will be implemented from January 1, 2021.
According to the current draft for approval, self-driving cars are temporarily divided into five grades as the main basis.
Level 0 driving automation (emergency assistance): the driving automation system can not continuously control the lateral or longitudinal movement of the vehicle in dynamic driving tasks, but it has the ability to continuously perform part of the target and event detection and response in dynamic driving tasks.
Level 2 driving automation (combined driving assistance): the driving automation system continuously performs vehicle lateral and longitudinal motion control in dynamic driving tasks within its designed operating conditions. and it has the ability to detect and respond to some targets and events adapted to the lateral and longitudinal motion control of the vehicle.
Level 3 driving automation (conditional autopilot): the driving automation system continuously performs all dynamic driving tasks within its designed operating conditions.
Level 4 driving automation (highly autopilot): the driving automation system continuously performs all dynamic driving tasks and takes over dynamic driving tasks within its designed operating conditions.
Level 5 driving automation (fully autopilot): the driving automation system continuously performs all dynamic driving tasks and takes over dynamic driving tasks under any driveable conditions.
On the whole, it is basically not much different from the American SAE classification standard in the overall classification idea and classification standard. All of them are divided into six different grades, and there are specific definitions for the level of self-driving, but there are only slight differences in some aspects.
With the emergence of more and more electric models and intelligent vehicles in the market, many models have been equipped with limited autopilot auxiliary functions, which can realize self-adaptive driving and other functions, which greatly alleviate the long-distance driving pressure and daily needs of drivers, but some car companies will have some "exaggerated" publicity in publicity, so as to mislead consumers' choice. Therefore, strengthening the formulation and implementation of standards in this area will standardize the requirements of driving automation system and provide basic support for the development of Intelligent Network Automotive and the management of related industries.
