According to the "list of Environmental Protection Information for Electric vehicles" provided by rights protection owners, Tesla declared that the vehicle controller model is 1462554 (HW3.0), while after disassembling the car machine, the actual car controller model is 1483112 (HW2.5), which obviously does not match.

According to Tesla's newly released Autopilot HW3.0, the hardware carries the FSD chip developed by Tesla, while the HW2.5 carries the Nvidia Drive PX2 chip. In comparison, the computing power of the HW3.0 chip is 21 times that of the HW2.5, which means that in autopilot technology, the high version is better at handling complex data, thus better performing autopilot. In addition, the HW3.0 chip is also the core of Tesla's traffic light recognition function in the process of fully autopilot, while Tesla models equipped with HW2.5 and below hardware can not achieve this function.

As the incident fermented, Tesla issued an official statement on March 3, admitting that some vehicles were installed with HW2.5, and did not inform consumers that the reason given by Tesla was installed "based on supply chain conditions". At the same time, it shows that "there is basically no difference in driving experience and safety between the Model 3 model using HW2.5 and the Model 3 model using HW3.0". The HW2.5 installed on the domestic Model 3 real car is obviously inconsistent with the HW3.0 on the environmental protection information on the configuration list, which is the most basic configuration mistake.
