With regard to the automobile industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has also communicated with Hubei Joint Defense Control and Hubei Industry and Information Department to support the auto industry parts and parts and some major automobile enterprises in Hubei to give priority to resuming work and production, so as to promote the resumption of work and production in the upstream and downstream, and further realize the restoration of industrial ecology.

On March 9, it was revealed that Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng passenger cars and related parts suppliers of Dongfeng Motor had received approval from the COVID-19 epidemic Prevention and Control headquarters of Wuhan Development Zone (Hannan District) to resume work. After that, it was officially announced by the relevant departments to resume work in an orderly manner.

However, Xin Guobin said that enterprises still face a series of difficulties and problems in the process of resuming work and production. Including the situation of major epidemics and different levels of prevention and control, as well as labor shortage and logistics and transportation, raw material supply, prevention and control material supply and so on, so at present, the resumption of work by enterprises still needs to be carried out in an orderly manner.

According to a person from Dongfeng Automobile Group, although it has been approved to resume work, many prefectures and cities in Wuhan and Hubei Province are still in a closed state, and it is difficult for most employees in this city to leave the district and return to their offices. The vast majority of non-local employees are still stranded in the area and have not returned to Wuhan, and the production and logistics of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of vehicle manufacturing have not been restored. According to the current resumption of work, it will be at least April.

At present, most Hubei car companies are actively applying for resumption of work. According to Dongfeng Nissan, its Xiangyang factory has also been in strict compliance with the local government's epidemic prevention policies and guidance and has been resuming work in an orderly manner since March 12. However, at present, the resumption of work needs to adhere to the principle of dual grasp of epidemic prevention production, and then make preparations for resumption of work and production on the basis of ensuring safety.

Previously, as the spread of the epidemic continued to expand, car companies in Hubei's epidemic areas, such as Dongfeng Honda and Shenlong Automobile, made repeated adjustments and delayed resuming work in response to epidemic prevention work, so that most car companies' sales fell sharply in February. Among them, according to data released by Dongfeng Honda alone, terminal sales were only 3803 in February, down 89.3% from a year earlier.

Judging from the list of suppliers applying for resumption of work at present, although nearly 100 suppliers have completed the declaration of resuming work one after another and have been approved, according to the current conditions for resuming work, the production situation in March and April will still be affected to a certain extent. With preparations for March, April will still be at a relatively low production level to ensure safe resumption of production.

In addition, Xin Guobin also mentioned at the meeting that Hubei is the fourth largest automobile production base in China. During the epidemic, many multinational companies, such as Volkswagen, BMW and Hyundai Motor, proposed to China that due to the production of some spare parts in Hubei, enterprises have insufficient stock and inventory, and if they fail to urge spare parts enterprises to resume work and production in time, they will face the dilemma of suspending business and production. In addition, some domestic automobile manufacturers are also in Hubei. To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will further follow the process of resuming work and production, solve the difficulties and problems existing in enterprises, and ensure the stability of the international supply chain.

With the orderly promotion of the government, the preparations of various enterprises have begun, although in the current situation, the resumption of work and sales in the middle of the year and even the whole year will be full of challenges, but at least it has sounded the horn of resumption of work. it plays a role in ensuring the recovery of the national and global automobile industry chain.
